Day 2: What’s Your Path?
April – [Biblical] Financial Literacy Awareness Month
Proverbs 24:3-4: “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
Let’s pause on that last line: through knowledge.
You can’t build a lasting financial house on vibes and vision boards alone. Wanting more isn’t enough.
You need the right knowledge.
And in this generation—where we’ve got podcasts, books, YouTube, courses, and even ChatGPT—we don’t get to keep saying, “Nobody ever taught me.”
Maybe you’re first-generation wealth. Maybe you didn’t have anyone sit you down. I get that. But if we’re not careful, we’ll find ourselves building wealth just to watch it fade right back into 5th-generation poverty.
Knowledge doesn’t come by osmosis. You have to seek it.
And not just from anyone. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, so just because someone sounds good doesn’t mean they’re speaking truth. Vet what you hear. Confirm it. Learn for you.
And let’s be real—some of us are still at the altar begging for miracles when we just need to manage. If we handled our money properly, we wouldn’t need God to constantly rescue us—we’d give Him clear paths to bless what we’ve already put in motion.
He’s a gentleman. He moves when you do.
So move.Tighten up.Budget. Learn. Ask. Research. Apply.
Let’s stop flailing and start flowing. If we say we follow God, we have to trust all of His word—and He talks about money over 2,000 times in the Bible. That’s not a coincidence. That’s a guidebook.
So if you don’t want to follow His financial principles… maybe ask yourself: Are you really following Him?
Reflection:
Are you pursuing knowledge with the same intensity you’re praying for increase?
Your Call to Action:
Find one source of financial wisdom—book, podcast, video—and study it with intention. Not just to listen, but to learn and apply.
